The following is specific to the 03-04 CBR600RR Credit: http://www.600rr.us
Performance Suspension SettingsI set my bike up according to the Performance Bike magazine settings. The
only thing I changed was my rear preload because of my weight (220lbs). I went
with 5 instead of the 4 they recommend on the rear preload. This setup was a
HUGE improvement over stock and is great for me with a few minor changes. I also
tried the Sport Rider magazine setup and I like the PB one better. Keep in mind
this is a generic setup and you should have the bike setup specifically for your
size and riding style. Rear Shock:Preload- position 4 Rebound- 1+1/4 turns out from full hard Compression- 5 clicks out from full hard Forks:Preload- 2 lines showing Rebound- 2 turns out from full hard Compression- 1+1/2 turns out from full hard Tire Pressure:Street- 34psi (front) / 39psi (rear) Track- 31psi (front) / 30psi (rear) Use the tool below (it comes with the toolkit that came with your bike) for the rear preload and a 14mm open ended wrench for the front preload. A small flathead screwdriver can be used for the rest.
